The love of a mother is completely indescribable.
A 98-year-old woman went viral after deciding to live in the same nursing home as her 80-year-old son to care for him.
Ada Keeting is a wonderful mother who made it her mission to look after her son’s well-being, and it’s a touching story about a mother’s love being so strong even at such a late age.
In 2016, Tom Keating moved to the Moss View care facility in Liverpool, UK, because he required additional care and assistance.
Mother Ada made the decision to live in the same house as her oldest in order to be closer to her and care for her. In their spare time, the two spend as much time as they can watching Emmeralde or playing games together.
Ada and Tom are from Wavertree in Liverpool, and they have always had a special bond because they have always lived together and Tom has never married.
Ada mentioned that they had established a routine.
«I say goodnight to Tom in his room every night, and I’ll go say good morning to him in the morning,» she explained. «I’ll notify him that I’ll be available for breakfast.»
She stated that they are still in love after all these years.
«When I go to the hairdresser, he will look for me and see when I will return,» she explained. «When I come back, he’ll run up to me with his arms spread and give me a big hug.» «You’ve always been a mother.» «They’re very good here,» Tom said, «and I’m glad to see my mother more now that she lives here.» «Behave yourself,» she will occasionally advise. She looks after me very well.
Ada and her late husband Harry had four children, with Tom being the oldest and the only boy. Ada’s daughters, Margi, Barbara, and Janet, died when they were 13 years old. Tom worked as a painter and decorator before retiring, and Ada worked as an auxiliary nurse.
Members of the couple’s family pay regular visits to their home and are always delighted to see the couple together. Up to five generations of the Keating family visit on occasion.
Ada’s granddaughter, Debi Higham, pays frequent visits to her grandmother and uncle. She stated the following:
«They are inseparable. It’s comforting to know they’re both being looked after around the clock.
The care home’s manager, Phillip Daniels, also expressed his delight at having Tom and Ada among them.
«It’s very moving to see Tom and Ada’s close friendship, and we’re so glad we were able to meet both of their needs,» he added. «Because having moms and their children in the same care facility is unusual, we want to make their time together as meaningful as possible.» They are indisputably linked.
