A baby with Down syndrome melts hearts with his beautiful smile.

Nothing beats a baby’s smile, especially when it appears out of nowhere. For the first time, a young child with Down syndrome smiled, and her mother captured the moment on camera.

“How’s your day going?” her adoptive mother inquired. An 8-month-old infant lay on a soft blanket with her adoptive mother, enjoying some tummy time.

Her daughter’s face lit up with an ear-to-ear grin in response, instantly winning the hearts of internet viewers all over the world. Mum couldn’t help but smile with delight at the little girl’s delight.

It’s heartwarming to hear the mom’s laughter as her daughter delights her with round after round of delightful smiles that are sweet enough to make anyone’s day.

The baby had recently been adopted through the National Down Syndrome Adoption Network, so her new skill could be a reaction to her new mother’s joy.

While the stage of smiling on cue only lasted a few weeks, mom relished it and is grateful she has a recording of her child’s first smile to cherish for the rest of her life.

Sometimes the simplicity of a child’s grin is all we need to remember the important things in life. This mother has received a beautiful gift that she will cherish for the rest of her life.
