Cousins Blue and Pearl are almost identical, yet their DNA is more common than that of half-sisters because their mothers, Sophie and Amandine d’Huij, married twin brothers Adriano and Luca.
The families live in San Francisco, California, in the same building but in different apartments, which leads to Blue and Pearl spending hours together and becoming quite close.
Blue and Pearl had been away for the longest time until Amandine, Pearl, and Luca traveled to Holland to visit Amandine’s family. The super-close cousins had been separated for three months before being reunited on July 19, in San Francisco Airport.
Just look at the expressions on these cute little girls’ faces when they see one other again after some time away; we grownups can learn a lot from them.
Amandine captured Pearl’s expression as she exited the arrivals gate and ran into her cousin’s arms. While Sophie was filming the reunion, Pearl presented Blue with a friendship bracelet.
“It was the longest they had ever been separated because we have always lived next door to each other,” Sophie explained.
Because she was so excited to see Pearl, Blue had fashioned a sign. Their grandma gave them both jewelry-making kits, and they each created the other a bracelet.”
“We were moved to tears and grateful that they have each other.” We also felt bad for keeping them apart for three months and realized that they have a particular bond.”
“I hope the video brings people joy, especially now, during these trying times.” I hope it reminds people that we are all human, and that love can conquer anything.” In these times of fear and distrust, this is a wonderful video to watch.
