After the way he abuses her child, Mom writes a letter to a “macho-looking” guy on an aircraft.

Even if you’re going on a lovely solo trip, traveling may be stressful. So it’s understandable that traveling with little children can be difficult, especially if you feel judged by other passengers.

According to one mother in a Love What Matters post:

«When dealing with young, fatigued youngsters, people might be nasty and irritable.»

This is especially true in today’s fast-paced, impatient, and chaotic environment, and it’s especially discouraging for parents who have to or want to take their children on a flight.

Unfortunately, when parents board a commercial airline with young children, it appears that the majority of other passengers avoid sitting close to them as if they had the plague. For the length of the ride, the one person who is “trapped” next to them will regard them with hesitant civility (if not downright scorn).

One mother was anxious that her seatmate, a tall, “macho-looking” male in his mid-20s, would react similarly. The contrary, however, was proven to be true.

When a concerned mother boarded Westjet Flight #1221 from Fort Lauderdale at 9:30 p.m., her annoyance was quickly alleviated by the lovely man’s calm and gentle demeanor toward a baby he didn’t even know.

This was the young boy’s second journey in his whole life, and his mother was anxious that he would be overtired and agitated due to the late hour. Although my child is typically well-behaved and calm, I was worried about how his first departure and arrival flights would go for him, she writes in an open letter to this stranger on Facebook.

She then thanks him for providing her child gum and candy before leaving, for picking up his blanket every time he dropped it in his half-asleep state, for allowing him to rest his tired legs in his lap, for amusing him, and for setting a fantastic example of how people SHOULD treat children.

«Thank you for making our trip one of compassion and understanding for others.» «That tiny child will grow into a man one day (hopefully like you), and he will benefit far more than you imagine from your modest deeds,» says An Anxious Mother.

Isn’t this the cutest story you’ve ever heard? It not only shows that there are many nice people out there, but it also shows that you should never judge a book by its cover.
