Genavieve Linkowski’s return to American Idol astounds the judges after she reveals the tragic loss of her sister.

Genavieve Linkowski has appeared on American Idol before. She did, in fact, audition in 2018 and made it all the way to Hollywood.

Her family was there for her every step of the way as she pursued her dream. And one notable fan was Genavieve Linkowski’s sister Corrin, who was even present at her first American Idol audition.

Corrin was killed in a car accident when she was 18 years old.

In a tearful video, Genavieve explained, “She went home to be with God.”

Emotional Audition Inspired by Tragic Loss
The death had an impact on Genavieve.

“”I felt completely lost,” she admitted. “I had no desire to sing at all.” For a time, both my passion and my voice were absent. I simply didn’t know how to live without her because I had always lived with her. But I know Corrin would still want me to go ahead with this.”

After revealing the tragic loss of her sister, Genavieve Linkowski’s return to American Idol astounds the judges.

Katy Perry stated: “I was completely immersed in that song. I mean, you were singing that song in the midst of your pain.”

Lionel Ritchie praised Genavieve’s strength and vocal performance as well.

“It took a lot of guts to come back and stand up, but I have to tell you, that performance was fantastic.”
