To commemorate her 100th birthday, a woman marries.

It is never too late to find or rediscover love! Dana Jackson married her first husband when she was 15 years old, and she plans to marry again to celebrate her 100th birthday!

Dana met Bill Stauss, 87, at Rosewood Health Care Center in Bowling Green. They both believed they would never marry again, but after meeting, they knew they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together.

«I found one that’s as good as it gets,» he told AARP. «He is kind to me. It’s unusual to come across such a girl.»

The bride, who is 100 years old, wore a traditional white gown to the ceremony, and the groom wore a fancy tuxedo. Dana had previously married, but this was her first formal wedding. She stated that when she was younger, getting married was “no big deal.” «You didn’t do what you’re doing now,» she said. «It was simple clothing and perhaps a yard bouquet.» And that’s exactly what happened.»

While neither of the newlyweds expected to marry again, it just goes to show that you are never too old to follow your heart!
