Your baby will most likely begin walking between the ages of 9 and 15 months, but many babies do not begin walking until the age of 18 months. Long before they can walk, your child is developing strength and skills such as muscle control, balance, and coordination. You don’t have to teach your child to walk, but there are many things you can do to encourage him to take his first steps. Also, consult your child’s doctor if he is unable to walk on his own by 15 months or is unable to walk by 18 months.

Most babies take their first steps between the ages of 9 and 15 months and can walk by the age of 15. – At 18 months Your child is busy developing coordination and muscle strength in all parts of his body during his first year of life. At around 9 months, your child will most likely learn to roll over, sit, and crawl before pulling up and standing.

Then your child runs away, leaving childhood behind. Your child’s first steps are a significant step toward independence.
