“My wife held up our son to show Kiki, who was on the other side of the enclosure… then Kiki grabbed Pablo and carried him over to us.”
A mother is a mother regardless of whether she is human or animal.
A mother’s love for her children cannot be measured because it is the most powerful form of affection. Nothing a mother will not do for the sake and well-being of her children, and this is what distinguishes these creatures.
Emmily and Michael Austin of Maine decided to take their 1-month-old baby to the Boston Zoo. Despite the fact that he is far too young to understand anything, they were eager to begin making memories, and the one they made there will last a lifetime.
Emmily was walking by the gorilla enclosure when she decided to pull over and show Kiki, one of the gorillas, her baby boy Canyon. The little guy took Kiki by surprise. She was looking at him with interest before deciding to do something truly touching.
Pablo, Kiki’s 7-month-old gorilla, was placed on her lap. She wanted the Austins to meet her child after meeting Canyon. Pablo was just as curious as Kiki and couldn’t take his eyes off Canyon. He even attempted to touch him through the glass.
“My wife mentioned that she felt she could understand their bond and how much she cared for Pablo now that she is a mother herself,” Michael told the Dodo. “My wife held up our son to show Kiki, who was on the other side of the enclosure… then Kiki grabbed Pablo and carried him over to us on her leg.”
“At one point, Pablo pressed his face against the glass, and they watched him together, noses touching.” My wife and I were both in tears.”
This has been one of the best experiences in the Austin family’s life, especially since it included their son.
“It was one of the most incredible experiences I’ve ever had.” What a wonderful memory to share with our son someday!” said Michael.
These two mothers couldn’t communicate verbally, but they bonded over emotions and their shared love for their children.
