Her voice is so moving… She is simply incredible!!!

“Forever Young” is a song from Alphaville’s first album, Forever Young, released in 1984. In the same year, the single was a hit in Scandinavia and the German-speaking countries of Europe. The single was more successful in the United States than in the United Kingdom, but despite three separate US single releases, it failed to reach the American top 40.

Though not the band’s biggest European hit, “Forever Young” was one of their signature songs and has been covered by a slew of artists. It was also the inspiration for Jay-song Z’s “Young Forever.” The song “Forever Young” is in the key of C major. Alphaville released “Forever Young” as a single in 1984, and it was available in both its original mix and a dance version called the “Special Dance Mix.” The band has released several remixes and demo versions of the song over the years.

The single debuted at number 93 on the US Billboard Hot 100 in 1985 and reached the top 40 on the US Hot Dance Music/Club Play Singles. When it was reissued in 1988, it reached number 65 on the Billboard Hot 100. Brian Ward directed the music video for the song, which features the band performing in one of the halls at Holloway Sanatorium in Virginia Water, England. A group of people, dressed in ragged finery, awaken to watch the band, then walk through a diamond-shaped glowing portal.
