If you’re looking for motivation today, Jules Hoogland’s story will undoubtedly inspire you! Jules is a junior on the basketball team at Zeeland East High School in Michigan, and her most recent accomplishment went viral.

It was the season’s final game, and 2500 people were in attendance. The gym was packed as students with and without disabilities gathered to watch Zeeland’s Unified Sports Basketball team.

Jules is deafeningly deafeningly deafeningly deafeningly deafeningly deafeningly deafeningly deafeningly deafeningly deafening ‘She’s my eyes on the court because I don’t have my cane side to put my trust in here to make sure she doesn’t let me get hit by balls and guides me in the right direction,’ Jules says.

Jules took a step to the foul line to shoot a free throw. The gym was deafeningly quiet. Cheryl Beute, a classroom aide, tapped the bottom of the backboard with a yellow pole to indicate the location of the hoop.

Jules threw up her shot after hearing the taps, and she nailed it! Cheers erupted from the audience. Everyone was happy and joyful! Jules was overcome with emotion following the shot.

“I was like, whoa, I didn’t expect that,” she told an interviewer. Then there was applause!” The audience was ecstatic, and her teammates celebrated as if they had won the championship!

Jules currently has a 4.0 grade point average and is working on becoming self-sufficient. Her mother hopes that her daughter’s bravery will inspire others. Everyone should be inspired by this story!
