A chicken captured everyone’s attention by playing the keyboard in front of a screaming audience in what had to be one of the most memorable episodes of season 12 of America’s Got Talent. Seiri Aria and Shannon Myers took the stage with an unusual partner in Episode 1 in front of a live audience in May 2017. Shannon was surprised by a brown chicken wrapped in a towel and pressed against her chest.
The duo informed an astounded jury and an equally astounded audience that their clever chick Jokgu would play “America Is Beautiful” on keyboards. “America the Beautiful” is a melodic tribute to one of America’s purple mountain majesties, Colorado’s Pikes Peak. However, nothing happened when Jokgu was placed in front of a miniature keyboard and music was played over the sound system.
Not only did the chicken not press the keys, but she went about her “chicken business,” occasionally turning around and pecking out her feathers. The judges watched helplessly as the strange performer on stage prodded his owners in an apparently futile attempt to get him to start playing. The world appeared to collapse instantly.
