Let’s honor the 4-year-old Down’s syndrome girl who was chosen to appear in the catalog of a well-known toy company.

Following her appearance as the cover star of the American Girl company’s toy catalog, a stunning young child with Down syndrome is garnering media attention across the globe.

Ivy Kimble, who was featured in the October print of the catalog, unquestionably stole the show.

A lot of work has gone into making sure that the dolls in the catalog always represent girls from all walks of life, including those who use wheelchairs, hearing aids, insulin equipment, or guide dogs.

But up until this point, there has never been one with Down’s syndrome.

In addition, the models who appear in the magazine reflect the magazine’s positive diversity. Ivy, a 4-year-old, made an appearance in the magazine’s October issue holding a diminutive American Girl doll with Down syndrome. She showed up wearing a red dress, and her smile says it all.

Kristen Kimble, her mother, was incredibly proud of her child.

Every mother’s dream, she said, “I have four daughters and have one in the American Girl catalog.”

“But there aren’t many commercials or media with kids with Down’s Syndrome, especially when it’s a girl with the condition,” says the author.
