On ‘America’s Got Talent’, a 14-year-old singing prodigy performs ‘Ain’t No Way.’

Because of the many surprising talents from various age groups, ‘America’s Got Talent’ is a compelling television show. The video begins with Kelvin, 14, putting his hands on his parents’ shoulders backstage and saying, ‘Our lives are going to change forever!’ They all continue to talk about Kelvin’s love of singing, and the young man apparently sings everywhere in the house!

Terry Crews, the show’s host, asks Kelvin if he is afraid of Simon, to which he responds, “I am kind of nervous to sing for Simon because I have to impress him.” Kelvin takes the stage to the judges’ ‘Awws,’ and his parents cry proud tears.

Kelvin tells Simon a story about how, at the age of nine, he was singing in front of a crowd when he burped! The judges laugh. Simon keeps asking Kelvin where he sees himself in five years. Kelvin informs him that he will continue to sing and perform, but he also wishes to become a dentist!

Simon informs Kelvin that there are 3,000 people in attendance, as well as four judges, who are all hoping that the next few moments will change his life forever. On the piano, a slow r&b groove begins, and Kelvin takes the stage with incredible poise and stage presence.

Kelvin sings with such soul that it’s as if he’s channeling Whitney Houston. From the start, he amazes the audience by effortlessly riffing off the melody line. He removes the microphone from the stand and walks around the stage, pointing and gesticulating to emphasize the lyrics.

His father sheds a tear from the wings of the stage as he stands with his wife and Terry. Kelvin brings Simon and the audience to their feet with his huge voice and infectious smile!

Kelvin rocks the crowd with ‘Ain’t No Way’ first made famous by Aretha Franklin. It isn’t easy to tackle a notable vocal performance from the Queen of Soul! However, Kelvin delivers a stellar version, holding nothing back.
