Amira Willighagen is a self-taught singer from the Netherlands. She was born in Nijmegen on March 27, 2004. After winning the talent show Holland’s Got Talent, she rose to international prominence. She toured South Africa and the United States in the spring and summer of 2014.

She gave concerts and appeared on television in Argentina, Germany, and Austria. During an informal interview with the jury members, the young performer stated that no one taught her music or singing and that she learned songs from YouTube clips. Amira Willighagen’s performance of “O Mio Babino Caro” received 20 million views.

Amira Willighagen performed “Ave Maria” in the Bach-Gounod version in the semi-final on December 21. The aria “Nessun Dorma” from the final act of Puccini’s opera “Turandot” was performed in the competition’s final on December 28, 2013. This performance received more than half of the viewer votes, and Amira was named the 2013 winner.
