Ten-year-old Olivia’s friend Millie passed away from cancer, but she still sings in her honor and raises money for her friend’s foundation. All the coaches in The Voice Kids Australia turned to look at her adorable and motivational Blind Audition (2014). She delivered an energetic performance of Katy Perry’s hit song.
The Voice Kids, an Australian reality series, debuted its first and only season on June 22, 2014. Darren McMullen served as the show’s host, and Prinnie Stevens, a quarterfinalist on The Voice season 1, covered backstage. The prize included a deal with Universal Music and a $50,000 music and education scholarship. Mel B, a former Spice Girls member, Delta Goodrem, and The Madden Brothers served as the coaches.
The coach provided guidance and development for each group of singers. In the second round, the coaches pitted three of their players against one another while they sang the same song, choosing which teammate to advance. The third stage consisted of Sing-Offs between the final five artists from each team, with the coaches removing three artists from each team to determine the final two. The Grand Final, in which the winner of The Voice Kids was decided with the help of the television audience, pitted the remaining six artists against one another.
